The Department of Radiation Oncology is one of the largest radiation clinics in Germany.

The Department of Radiation Oncology in Kiel is part of both the University of Kiel and the University Clinic of Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH).

Together with Campus Lübeck the clinic is the largest unit for radiation therapy in the state of Schleswig-Holstein.

One of the clinic's focus areas is the development and testing of new therapy methods in radiotherapy and oncology.

In addition to 31 of beds to the stationary radiation therapy, there are three modern linear accelerators available.
